Philips Product Industrialization Engineer II in Colorado Springs, Colorado

We have an exciting opportunity for an engineer with new product process development and commercialization experience to work on programs aimed to treat vascular diseases.

Product Industrialization Engineer II will lead process development of new products, ensuring that manufacturing processes meet product and project requirements, as well as identifying and recommending solutions for complex technical issues. Product Industrialization (PI) activities include process technology development, pilot line development, prototyping, manufacturing transfers from site to site and contributing to technical team meetings regarding these topics.

In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Initiating, leading, and executing on product industrialization activities including equipment selection, process development, process characterization and process validation, in support of new product development as well as design changes

  • Designing for manufacturing, equipment, and labor capacity planning

  • Driving key performance indicators such as Cost of Goods, Yield, Output and Quality throughout projects and into commercialization

  • Manufacturing input focusing on Design for Manufacturability, Reliability, Serviceability

  • Providing in-depth knowledge for problem solving linked to Manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Collaborating with cross-functional team members throughout product development phases to ensure program success

You're the right fit if you have a customer-first attitude and the following:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Computer Engineering, or closely related field

  • 3+ years of experience in product/process development in the medical device industry. Experience with catheters, or delivery systems is highly preferred

  • Experience in New Product Development with a passion for driving innovative technical solutions in a manufacturing team-based environment

  • Proficiency with FDA QSR/cGMP and ISO13485 requirements to maintain commitment to environmental and quality regulations and knowledge of process characterization and process validation utilizing Statistical tools, DOE, DFSS etc.

  • Successful record of accomplishment executing complex manufacturing or new product development projects / programs / improvement opportunities (timelines, quality, capacity, capability, cost, productivity some key metrics)

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $62,000 to $105,000, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
