Systems Engineering Manager

Your role:

  • Leading the systems team, embed a ‘systems thinking’ mindset and collaborate closely with the engineering and cross functional teams on all aspects of systems, V&V and compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable industry standards and regulations in the development of systems for medical devices. Lead efforts in documentation and reporting for regulatory submissions.

  • Be responsible for the process, method, and tools, ideally in the context of model-based system engineering (MBSE). Engage in every phase of the product life cycle, from development, manufacturing, market deployment, operation, maintenance to phase out.

  • Be responsible for all system engineering aspects of the Philips V-model, starting with conceptualization, writing requirements, functional and technical design, check & optimize, verification, integration and validation.

  • Maintain and develop knowledge and expertise and deploy capabilities throughout the team by providing training and coaching to system engineers.

  • Lead the following activities: definition of system and sub-system requirements, architecture, and interfaces to meet product requirements, risk analysis and industry standards; system design analysis to select key components and define control methods; co-ordinate build and design integration

  • Manage system engineering information and its traceability (requirements, risks, design decisions, protocols, results) and incorporate best practices

  • Collaborate to support product verification and validation planning, resolution of technical integration issues, system testing and coordination with internal and external interfaces

  • Conduct design reviews for system and sub-system requirements as part of the product development process to ensure customer requirements are met and the designs are manufacturable, serviceable, and reliable.

  • Foster a collaborative work environment, and mentor and guide engineers in the application of systems engineering practices, and embedding systems thinking and the V-model .

You’re right for this role if:

  • You’ve acquired a vast experience in Systems Engineering within regulated environments and a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex systems projects.

  • You have proven expertise in systems engineering tools/ and strong understanding of systems architecture, design, and validation.

  • You’re experienced in guiding teams through regulatory submissions and audits.

  • You’ve demonstrated the ability to drive innovation and explore new technologies for continuous improvement.

  • You’re able to effectively communicate, influence and build and maintain relationships with Internal/External Stakeholders at all levels.

  • You have exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

  • You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MS desired.
