Philips Automation Engineer in Ontario, California

In this role you have the opportunity to

Represents procurement in the Business, has in-depth understanding of the business strategy, product portfolio, and is responsible for driving the buy-in, approval, and funding of projects to improve supply chain structure, BoM productivity, product quality, and/or operational efficiencies. Understands and optimizes 3rd party spend for assigned categories, including IMS (indirect), Market and Bill of Material spend.

Your role:

  • Expert knowledge and ability to design, create, develop and manage systems, for example, factory automation, process automation, and warehouse automation.

  • Design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery and processes for FDA food processing plants and robots.

  • Demonstrable success functioning as a controls design engineer on multiple automation projects as well as troubleshooting equipment.

  • Develop and Maintain Automated Processes.

  • Seek out areas of Automated Process Improvements and Implement Corrective Actions.

  • Provide Engineering Support to Business Units to Troubleshoot and Resolve Technical Issues.

  • Initiates and leads multi-disciplinary change projects and/or industrialization projects at business level.

  • Advanced Understanding of PLC Programming, HMI, vision systems, and robotics.

  • Continuous improvement projects at department level. Represents Operations in multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Introduces new products from Development to Operations. Specifies requirements from Operations.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field .

  • 5+ Years of hands-on automated engineering experience in a Manufacturing Environment.

  • Lean/Six Sigma/5S Experience (certifications preferred).

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $87,000 to $150,000, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
